One of the most asked questions I get from patients about the Louisiana Medical Marijuana Program is “If Indica strains are available?”

As you may know, Indica is one of the main strains of medical marijuana.  Indicas are typically described as calming, relaxing, and sedating.

Indicas can be effective for patients with a wide range of conditions, including Anxiety, PTSD, Autism, and Chronic Pain

Today, we’ll talk about two strains from Ilera that can be considered Indicas:  Dream and Hope 2.

The Ilera Dream, as could probably be discerned from the name, was originally designed for patients with insomnia.

However, it can be used for most situations where the patient desires an Indica type of effect.

The Dream tincture maintains a 8:1 THC:CBD ratio, with 133mg THC and 17mg CBD in a 30cc bottle.

The product also contains the terpene Nerodilol which has sedative and anti-inflammatory properties.

Hope 2

The Hope 2 is one of the products in Ilera’s Hope for Autism line.  Although the Hope 2 was specifically designed for patients with autism, this product could be used by any patient looking for an indica effect.

The Hope 2 is a tincture which comes in a 30cc bottle.  It contains 250mg of THC and 50mg of CBD, with the terpenes Caryophyllene, Myrcene, and Bisabolol.

Myrcene specifically is one of the terpenes theorized to give Indicas their calming, relaxing, and sedating properties.
